What a Weekend! Our 10th anniversary tournament was a huge success! Beautiful weather helped make Sunday, and in fact the whole weekend, stunning. Overall we played 44 chukkers of polo in 3 days. 45 Women participated, and close to 90 horses! Foxden Farm provided the majority of horses for the games and were constantly on the move ferrying horses back and forth to the fields.
Congratulations go out to our winning A division Team: Ashley Homestore and our winning B Divison Team: Maui Jim.
Our MVPs for the championship games were Alix Bezak for Ashley Homestore and Katie Leggat for Maui Jim.
Our top fundraisers for the charity were: Katie Leggat, Leslie Cote and Becky Moore. We surpassed our goal of $10,000 for 10 Years, and are currently sitting at $12,725 donated online. There are still a few more paper pledge sheets to be added to that number. We will update this page when that final number is in.
Brian O'Leary kept the crowds informed and entertained on Sunday with his colourful commentary.
Many thanks have to go to our sponsors: Ashley Homestore, Maui Jim, Westhaven Farm, Guild Electric, Arbonne, Highland Chev-Olds, SSG Gloves, Purina, North York Farmers, Mortgage Tree, Greenhawk, and Millview Farm Shop for donating our 10th Anniversary Cake.
We couldn't have a successful tournament without all the support from the ladies that play, the Toronto Polo Club, and the Sifton Family. So to all involved, many thanks, and we will see you next year!
